History
Craft Cove launched in 2020 during Covid-19’s first wave. People’s desire to support one another and find local artists to fill their lives and homes with joy inspired Larissa to rekindle her creative passion. She began to explore different mediums and found happiness in a nearly-forgotten hobby: woodworking.
Starting in her mother’s garage, Larissa purchased a few tools (and borrowed some more) to begin crafting goods out of wood and resin. People loved custom charcuterie boards during the holiday season and she loved making them!
Not only that, but colourful coasters, wall hangings, and household items made their way out of the garage workshop toward the undersides of trees.

In 2020, she was accepted into the Tools for Change Program and started working out of a studio space at Makerlabs in Vancouver. While there, she learned more skills, including laser cutting, and bolstered her woodworking knowledge, which led her to become an instructor at Makerlabs in February of 2021, the same year she was made a Resinate Affiliate (use code CRAFTCOVE10 at checkout for 10% off your order).
Currently
In 2023, Larissa moved to Vancouver Island and now works out of the Cowichan Community Workshop, where she is a shop monitor and instructor. In the summer of 2025, she became a candidate in the Camosun Fine Furniture Design program and is set to graduate in June of 2026. She continues to craft a wide variety of wooden, resin, and wax goods, also offering custom laser engravings, but has expanded her services to offer website building. To date, Craft Cove products have been displayed at the Kamloops Artisans Bazaar, Ms. Whimsy’s Gift Emporium, Awen Haus, the Craft Council of BC Gallery, Rainforest Arts Gallery, By the Bay Lavender, and the Eastside Culture Crawl. Her products are currently available at the Craft Council of BC’s Granville Island location as well as Rainforest Arts Gallery, and you can now also purchase products from the Craft Cove website.
Check Craft Cove’s Etsy to see reviews and view samples of her customizable products list, but Larissa always takes on custom orders and offers discounts for orders made directly through Craft Cove.
